Apple TV vs Media Center + MCE Tunes

I just found out about a Media Center 2005 add-in that will play all iTunes content in the MCE UX. This seems like a better idea than buying an Apple TV just so I can watch my downloaded TV shows in my living room.

MCE Tunes seems perfect. Anyone using it? This could save me $270 :-) (Apple TV = $300, MCE Tunes = $30).

I'd love to find out if MCE Tunes also allows me to source my playlists in MCE from iTunes. I hate trying to replicate all my playlists over and over.

Never tried it ... I have a Media center PC but it's in my office, not my living room. I just can't get the PC to become part of my living room.

Apple's solution seems like the solution I've been waiting for.

Previously I either watched content on my computer monitor, or picked up the PC and dragged it into the living room to watch a show or two on it. (*NOT* ideal.)

I own MCE Tunes. It works as advertized. All my iTunes music, playlists and video inside My Music on my MCE machine! Plus, it supports audio to my xbox ... hopefully they get video working too.
