American Cars

In case you didn't notice, American Car companies are having a hard time these days. Here is some great insight into why, courtesy of Dennis and Avis.

I work for one of the "Big Three" doing J2EE and .NET stuff.

Our real problem is the legacy costs of retirees and Union contracts.

Plus the outsourcing of more and more stuff to India has the customer's all ticked off since they have less and less people to talk to who understand their needs and concerns.

When China gets their act together and bring their cars here then there will really be *big* problems.

You will be impacted also - we will be buying less of your products. Already there are projects going on to convert to openofffice and linux in order to save $$$.
