Mine! (BlackJack II)

imageI have already broken a world record by owning the same phone for 11.5 months (BlackJack I). However, I just saw that this bad boy is coming soon.

  • Windows Mobile 6 (already have it on my BJ I)
  • GPS (wohoo)
  • bigger screen
  • smaller
  • 2 megapixel camera? Extra pixels that won't make the picture any better looking.

I wonder if this thing is going to have any better battery life. As it is, with my current Blackjack, I have it defaulting to GPRS and only selectively enable 3G.

I just ordered a Blackjack I two days ago to replace my Cingular 3125. Now I might be experiencing a bit of buyer's remorse knowing there's a newer version just around the corner. Thanks. :)

i played with this thing at CTIA yesterday. It was pretty sweet and made me miss having exchange support.

A few things:

trevin - samsung guy said battery life problems were fixed and no need to for the humgo battery.

omar - wait till you try the front facing bezel jog wheel thingee. it felt good. really good.

what else can I say...oh, the finish was pretty intersting...i'm not sure if I like it, but not sure I didn't. i already loved my old blackjack keyboard but this one felt a bit better but only field use will really tell.

fwiw, ctia is the best gadget confrence i have been to in a long time. not as diverse as CES but way easier to injest & fun to walk around.

Can I ask where the WM6 for Blackjack 1 came from? I've looked around, but haven't found a version that hasn't been described as "buggy". I've loaded it on my girlfriends vz6700 and I'm jealous.

I like Windows Mobile but I don't understand why people like this ugly phone. Not comparing to iPhone, but found it really ugly. The screen also small.

My question is why Microsoft don't ask Carbon Design to design a deligth phone?

Hey all,

What's the good word on WM6 on the BJ 1?

Where's the details on how to get this. I too have had the BJ 1 since it streeted. I would love the BJ2, but I think I'm too cheap at the moment. How do I get the upgrade to WM6 for the BJ1?
