Technology for the sake of technology?

I would never be caught dead with these things on my ears. Seriously I don't get bluetooth headphones. Who the heck wants to run out of batteries on their headphones (let alone portable device)?

I agree, those headphones are ugly and you still have a wire with them which puts them on the border of pointless land. I do think you can make a good set of Bluetooth headphones. It's going to be a long time before they are small and have a battery life longer than your digital audio player. Until then, I've been pretty happy with my Motorola Bluetooth headphones. Read the review if you'd like.

I am a big fan of Etymotic as I use their MicroPro every day. (http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/er4.aspx). They are the most comfortable and I wonder how a small earbud can produce all this sound. They are very good sound isolating earbuds too.

However when I read about their new Bluetooth earphones, I thought it would be awesome if they made the same (or almost) size in wireless ones.
I was pretty dissapointed when I saw them. Who's going to wear these bulky looking things sticking out of their ears. They look dorky and boxy. Bad design.
